What to expect at an Initial Consultation...
Homeopathy treats each person as a unique individual. Homeopathy is not about one medicine fits all The mental, emotional & physical parts of a person are just as important as the presenting complaint. As such, each person requires their own specialized treatment & the prescription of a homeopathic remedy is a very individualised process. The aim of homeopathic treatment is to develop an understanding of the whole person.
Your consultation will be in depth and detailed with questions not only pertaining to the presenting complaint, but also regarding your general wellbeing, diet, sleep, energy, mood, past illnesses and your family history. The initial consultation is 1.5-2 hours because getting to know the real you takes time.
Homeopathy can be used at home for adults & children to treat acute health problems & injuries or for more chronic, unresolved health problems under the guidance & care of a fully qualified homeopath. Homeopathic treatments can be used alongside conventional treatments and medications because they are non-toxic, non addictive & suitable for everyone, including babies, children, pregnant women & the eldery.
Emmeline also practices Homeopathic Facial Analysis (HFA) which is a diagnostic tool to help in her homeopathic remedy selection. The prescribed homeopathic remedy will match the individual symptoms of the patient to the remedy not the condition. So for example, two people with hay fever may require different treatments based on their individual symptoms.
All homeopathic consultations include the homeopathic remedy.
What to expect at a Follow up Consultation...
A follow up consultation is usually scheduled approximately 2-4 weeks after the initial consultation depending on the case and is up to 1 hour. In a follow up consultation Emmeline will go over what was discussed at the initial consultation & ask questions about the action of the remedy on the presenting complaint as well as general well being, sleep, energy & mood. Emmeline will then assess if/what further treatment is needed.
